Well, it didn’t take long! Here’s the video I mentioned in my previous post. Sound is a bit crappy due to my HTC Desire not being the best of camcorders, but you get the idea.

So I finally ordered my studio monitors: the Adam A5X. Widely regarded as one of the best monitors for their price range and judging by the first hours, I am definitely very very happy with the purchase!

The A5Xs will join the rest of my studio, which you can read all about here. Below you can find a pic and I will try to get a video up soon, too!

Hard to find room for everything already... wow!

First mix done in my new studio and I really like it!

Starts with probably the song I’ve heard the most all month, which I actually use to close the set as well. Then the usual progressive house I love starts building and we’re off to a musical journey. “Kings in Exile” will definitely be one of the tunes to remember in this mix and in the Winter Music Conference in Miami for that matter. I really love Morgan Page‘s “I’ve Had Friends” too and woa, a Bruno Mars remix? What’s up with that?!

I have been busy in the last couple of months… spending money! I know that can be a lot of fun, but at the same time it has been pretty hard choosing what to get and where to order from. That said, I think I have enough to keep me going for a while- studio monitors will be added in February!

So what did I get?
- 13′ MacBook Pro with a custom 500GB drive
- Ableton Live 8 Suite
- Komplete 7
- Some IKEA structure

These will join my Ecler Evo 5 mixer, my Novation Nocturn and the M-Audio Axiom 61.

I have finally made the leap to music production and hopefully this little studio will be an inspiring place for my first pieces of work! I will share all of them with you of course.

I will still try to bring you another mix this month. I have recorded one but I don’t feel it’s good enough so I will try to have another go if I find time. In the meantime, here are a couple of pics from my humble studio…

What a year it was. So many amazing tracks, it was not even funny. Here is my selection, 20 tracks in 60 minutes will keep you happy, I’m sure! Most of them were featured in the past and of course the mighty Eric Prydz is here many many times. I hope 2011 is at least as good as 2010, it will definitely be a great year for music lovers! This mix will actually be part of a competition held in the Swedish House Mafia Portugal page on Facebook, so if you like it, please vote!
