It began… in Ibiza! September 19, 2009 View Comments

Last week I mentioned I would be making a very special trip soon… so here are the details…

I am about to realize one of my dreams, spending a week in Ibiza with only Clubbing in mind. I chose the closing week since the line-up is amazing everyday and it will probably be even bigger than usual since it will be the last date from each party in 2009!

I hope I can update my blog everyday while I am there, if I get a connection. If not, I will post a full report when I am home. Here is the line-up for each party I will be attending:

DJ Bammer – September 2009 September 9, 2009 View Comments

After last month’s Trance mix, I bring you progressive house, this website’s most popular genre! In the end of the mix you will find 2 great “Go Home” tracks and a special tune I found out that doesn’t really fit in this mix so I decided to feature it as an “Encore”. I hope you like it!

Next week I’ll update my blog regarding a (very) special trip I will be making this month. In the meantime, enjoy the mix!

Soundcloud August 13, 2009 View Comments

I have been testing this service for a while and I must say I have become a huge fan.

Soundcloud is a website where you can host your tracks/mixes for free (up to 5 uploads a month), share them with the world, add friends and receive other people’s tracks on your Dropbox. It’s a very nice community and their player is really nice. They are constantly adding new features, so check their blog also.

You can check my profile by clicking here. Below you will find all my mixes under this format. In the future, I am considering changing my current player- the download mp3 link will remain available, of course.

The new kid on the block August 12, 2009 View Comments

So I finally decided to get myself a MIDI keyboard. July was my birthday and all, and since I couldn’t afford the Evo 5 rightaway, I bought the M-Audio Axiom 61 instead (yes, a keyboard instead of a new mixer).

So this has 61 semi-weighted keys, 8 trigger pads, 8 rotary encoders and 9 sliders. And a bunch of buttons, too. Becoming a producer is the inevitable next step for any ambitious DJ and hopefully I will introduce something unique to my sets in the next couple of years. I took some pictures where you can see the keyboard as well as my other MIDI Controller, Novation Nocturn. These were taken with my cellphone so they aren’t brilliant, but it’s more than enough.

And yes, I like blue.

When I said June’s mix would be my last with my current setup, I was wrong! No Evo 5 for me for now, but there are two very good reasons to explain this delay- I will get to that soon.

But I know you’re here to get your music fix, so here it is. A very banging set, building towards a more trancey/melodic feel that culminates with PvD’s new track, “Home“. PvD has been on top of his game for well over 15 years and is an artist any DJ should look up to. I can’t really say what’s my favorite part in this set and I am pretty sure everyone will like it differently, so I will let you be the judge!

Download it here or stream it below.

Enjoy!
