A SHM PT Tribute… September 2, 2010 View Comments

A couple of months ago I found a great Portuguese Facebook fan page called Swedish House Mafia Portugal. I started following their updates more and more, and realized they are not just about the SHM, they are all about sharing good music and educating the Portuguese crowd. In Portugal, people like to dance as much as anywhere else, but the taste in electronic music is pretty different from central Europe. This page has also the purpose of showcasing what’s hot out there, in festivals, Ibiza, big parties, etc.

I became such a fan of this page that I wanted to thank them in some way. What could I do? “A Tribute mix”, I thought. So here it is. All tracks are related to the SHM somehow, even if just being heavily featured on their tracklists. I hope you like it (most of these tracks have been featured here before). Don’t forget to check the Facebook page, I mean it! Swedish House Mafia Portugal

Here is the tracklist and the stream. You can also download the 192 kps file, as usual, by clicking here. Enjoy!

07-08-2010, aka the day I met GOD, aka Paul van Dyk September 1, 2010 View Comments

Minutes before rocking the Barcelona Music Conference!

It finally happened- third time’s a charm, they say. After seeing my hero play in Lisbon (Rock in Rio, 2008) and Ibiza (closing Cream, Amnesia, 2009), I was lucky enough to attend the Barcelona Music Conference in a small Club (Sotavento) with some of the great DJs, such as Eric Prydz, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Groove Armada or DJ Chuckie. Paul van Dyk, of course, was also there (headlined the 2nd night) and I got to take a quick picture with him right before his set.

I was totally star-struck and couldn’t say anything else than “You are the fucking man, thank you for all that you’ve done”, to which he just smiled. I have dreamed for this moment for several years (even went to the Vandit office in Berlin once, trying to reach him) but it’s amazing that when it happens, you are NEVER prepared.

Paul van Dyk moved on to rock the place of course and then still found some time to take pictures and sign autographs before leaving under tight security. A night I will never forget.

Thank you PvD, you are my inspiration!

DJ Bammer – August 2010 August 25, 2010 View Comments

Earlier this month I went to Barcelona to attend the Barcelona Music Conference and had a great time (more on that later)! Also managed to check Steve Angello in a local club, so August has treated me well. With all that inspiration, here is a new mix!

This is a pretty straight-forward house mix that ends with more progressive tunes and yet another instant classic by Vitalic. For whatever reason, I had “Editors – You don’t know love” on my mind, so I started and ended it with those vocals. I hope you like it!

Download it here or stream it below.

Enjoy!

DJ Bammer – Yet Another July Mix July 25, 2010 View Comments

I think I should give you another mix this month so here it is: July is my favorite month of the year and I hope that all of you are having a wonderful Summer!

This mix starts slow and mellow and builds into more energetic songs such as “M.A.N.I.A.C.” and “M.S.B.O.Y.”. Watch out for the “Chase the Sun” remix, will be huge I’m sure… Pryda is featured twice again, Eric keeps giving me the goods! On another note, Max Graham’s album “Radio” is amazing and here is my favorite track in there, a new version of “Does She Know Yet”. I hope you like it!

Download it here or stream it below.

Enjoy!

17-07-2010, aka the day I met Axwell July 23, 2010 View Comments

After meeting the great Eric Prydz in London, I got to  meet Axwell in Portugal the past weekend and exchange a few words after an interview he gave, right before his set.

Axwell would then move on to rock the club (RS Dreams)  in yet another wonderful set.  Steve Angello is coming in August so I will be there as well!
